I believe that the Heisman should be given to the most valuable player in the NCAA. Cam Newton is hands down the best player on the field. People cannot vote by what may happen, they have to vote by what they know.

Heisman
There has been controversy in the news about the fact that six Heisman voters have left Cam Newton off of their voting polls. The problem with doing that is that if he loses the race, how do you explain that. He has not been proven guilty of anything and his father is no the one who plays football.

I know now that Cam Newton has won the Heisman Trophy, so arguing about this would be pointless. I do believe he is the best player in the NCAA and he does deserve the Heisman just for that reason.
ReplyDeleteI would agree with Andrew. Tiger Woods was ranked #1 before the news of his affairs broke. Then, he remained #1 for awhile. It was only until he began sucking that his ranking dropped. My point is, his affairs were going on the whole time he was ranked. He was still the best on the corse regardless of what may have been occuring. You can only judge an atlete in something like this on their performance, unless they are using steriods. I still think Cam Newton is not nice though.
